Shelia Looman -  Jackson Georgia

 

Shelia Looman, owner of Celestial Blessings in Jackson, Georgia is a beginning painter.    She is a Reiki Master Teacher, a Hypnotherapist and Gardener/ Herbalist by trade and children’s book illustrator.

 

Shelia states “ I became an illustrator of children's books in 2008 quiet by accident.”.  By chance one of Looman’s clients saw her watercolors and asked her to illustrate her first book, ‘What Happens When Someone Dies’ .  After some prodding, Shelia agreed. 

 

Shelia remembers sitting down on a Saturday and not stopping painting until the following Wednesday when the book was finished. She enjoyed her first experience with illustration so much shortly after the first book went to press, she started on the second book, which again was a book used to help children through difficult situations.

 

Looman continues to paint with watercolors and is excited about the opportunities given her to share her talent.  Her work can be seen at Generations Gallery, Indian Springs, Georgia where she can be contacted for future commissions.
